She was predeceased by: her parents, Coelestin Nix and Margaret Nix (Kessler); her husband Donald Joseph Ochs; her daughter Jennifer; her siblings, Delbert Nix (Mary), Norbert Nix (LaVaun), Joseph Nix and Georgiann Kuhl (Herman); and her great grandchildren, Lucas James Backstein and Hannah Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Backstein (George) of Springfield, Beverly Fritschle (Dennis) of Cave and Kenneth Ochs (Anne) of Newton, Illinois.; and her grandchildren, James Backstein (Sasha), Brandon Backstein, Brian Backstein, Adam Fritschle (Aisling), Jacob Fritschle, Margaret Ochs, Nicholas Ochs, Adrienne Roberts (Jordan), Matthias Ochs, Mary Ochs, Veronica Yu (Albert) and Catherine Ochs. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren and, later, her great grandchildren.
In loving memory of Betty, memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Fund.
