She was predeceased by : her parents, Edwin R. Babbs and Minnie Babbs (Phillips); her husband Louis M. Hemrich; her daughter Linda Gordon (Matthew); her son-in-law John Sheehan; her siblings, John Babbs (Cleo), James Babbs (Betty), Walter Babbs (Hallie), Earl Babbs (Mildred), Alice Smith (Herb) and Charlene; and her brother-in-law Don Ward.

She is survived by : her children, Carol Sheehan of Teutopolis, Theresa Chase (Lee) of Lowell, Brigid McDonald (Daniel) of Effingham, Phillip L. of Altamont and Daniel (Linda) of Everett, Washington; and her sister Marie Ward of Newton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
