It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Neal Austin McCann of Newton, Illinois, born in Storm Lake, Iowa, who passed away on August 21, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Herschel McCann and Minnie McCann (Jinright); his sister Neta Smith; his grandson Jacob Neal McCann; and his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Lilly Piercefield.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley McCann of Newton, Illinois.; his children, Penny Hoeszle (Bob) of West Salem, Illinois, Kevin McCann of Springfield, Illinois, Will McCann of Newton, Illinois and Jason McCann (Suzie) of Newton; and his grandchildren, Tina Miller, Travis Warren, Abby McCann, Ajay McCann and Mike Hall (Megan).

In loving memory of Neal, memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church.
