He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl G. Thompson Sr. and Sarah Catherine "Sadie" Thompson (Brennan); his siblings, Evelyn Brady, Donald Thompson and John Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Thompson, Joseph Ferrick and George Brady.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite A. Thompson; his sons, James J. Thompson, Joseph M. Thompson, William J. Thompson and Michael P. Thompson (Debra); his grandchildren, Erin N. Smid (Andrew) and KellyAnne Feichter (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Tyghe Gage Smid, Cole Aspen Smid, Lincoln Elizabeth Feichter and Madison Grace Feichter; and his sister Veronica Ferrick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.
