He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Bette" Lesiak; and his grandson Robert Plank (Lisa). He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Plank (late James), Edward, Jr., Denise (Jean Leigh) and David Lesiak (Aleca); his grandsons, Graham Nelson (Brier), Christopher and George Lesiak; and his great grandchildren, Ellis, Garrett Nelson, Jimmy and Michael Plank.

Donations may be made in his name to The Leaning Tower YMCA in Niles.
