Haroula Prokos Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2021, at the age of 91, Haroula Prokos (Niles, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Konstandinos Zervogiannis and Aggeliki Zervogiannis; her spouse Gust Prokos; and her siblings, Mihalis Zervogiannis (late Panagiota) and Maria Papavasiliou.

She is survived by: her children, Anastasia Kondiles (Stelios), Georgia Mourgelas (Christos) and Anthony Prokos (Jean); her grandchildren, Panagiotis Mourgelas, Stavroula Ballas (George), Athanasia Mourgelas, Haroula Kondiles (Nelson), Konstandinos Mourgelas (Elizabeth), Panagiota Sbirakos (Niko) and Hayley "Haroula" Prokos; her great grandchildren, Dionisi, Stelios Ballas, Aliki, Ninos Ameer, Demetri, Stelios Sbirakos, Christos Mourgelas, Yianni Zervos and Melina Mourgelas; and her siblings, Spilios Zervas (late Stella), Koula Kostelis, Panagiotis Zervas (Voula) and Georgia Trakas (late George).

Funeral service, due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 10 persons will be allowed in the Funeral Home, Church (during service) at any one time and cemetery graveside. Face masks must be worn at all times at Funeral home, Church, and Cemetery graveside.

By the family's request, please omit flowers. Donations in Haroula's name to the University of San Francisco Weill Institute for Neurosciences would be appreciated.
