He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Barzyk; and his granddaughter Danielle Barzyk. He is survived by: his children, George Barzyk (late Ursula), Mark Barzyk (Bridget) and Bogumila Bendyk (Val); his grandchildren, Richard Barzyk, Eric Bendyk (Heather Izewski), Jennifer Bendyk (Phil Kuehn), Jason Barzyk (Rebecca), Alexander Bendyk (Ashley) and Michele Barzyk (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Felix, Zosia, Aubrey, Nevaeh and Ariah.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Malec & Sons Funeral Home (6000 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church Cro-Flowers-Service-Card (8300 N Greenwood Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at the St Adalbert Catholic Cemetery (6800 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
