She was predeceased by : her parents, Bernard Skaja and Helen Skaja; and her brothers, Buddy Skaja (late Marilyn) and Jerome. She is survived by : her children, Veronica Shedd, Andrea Bauer, Mary Hess (Robert), Stanley John "S. J." Banas (Susie), Michael Banas (Mary Gaye) and Jim Banas (Bobi Jo); her grandchildren, DeAnn Sizemore (Adam), John Shedd (Ashley), Jim Shedd, Rachael Banas, Hayley Banas, Nicholas Banas, Corey Mattas (Jamie), Meghan Genard (Ben), Molly Banas, Moriah Swedberg (Nathan), Michael Banas (Chandler), Dayton Banas (Adria), Kelsey MacDonald (Kyle), Maren Hess and Robert "Preston" Hess; her great grandchildren, Breck, Mac, Solie, Johnny, Addy, Joshua, Aria, Andrew, Olive, Estelle, Hewitt, Bryton and Brees; and her siblings, Lorraine Buenz (late Ted), Mickey Skaja (Ann), Tom Skaja (Carol), Jack Skaja (Barbara), Jim Skaja (Irene) and Larry Skaja (Jan). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
