He was predeceased by : his parents, Everette R. Rice and Millie F. Rice (Sholders); and his siblings, Lowell, Richard L. Rice and Marion Murley.

He is survived by : his wife Wanda Dillman; his son Michael Rice of Robinson, IL; his grandchildren, Jay Dee Rice of Stoy, IL, Kimberly and Clayton Basham; his great grandchildren, Hunter and Hayden Basham of Mattoon, IL; his brother Paul Rice of Oblong, IL; and his sister-in-law Judy Rice of Robinson, IL.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
