He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Temmen and Agnes Temmen (Karbach); his wife Mary Edith Franklin (Duck); his grandson Garrett Temmen; his son Daniel Franklin; and his siblings, Theresa Temmen, Catherine Berns, Charles Temmen and Mary Temmen.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Kay Riggs-Voss (Karl Voss) and Jim R. Temmen (Cindy); his grandchildren, Morgan Franklin, Jake Franklin, Sophie Franklin, Luc Temmen, Nick Temmen, Lacie Temmen, Chase Temmen, Derek Trumbold, Grant Riggs, Gabrielle Riggs, Lauren Evilsizer and Taylor Voss; his great grandchildren, Logan Temmen, Kamden Temmen, Oliver Temmen, Airiel Salomons and Lane Evilsizer; his brother Paul Temmen (Dee) of Herrick, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Anne Marie Damery and Donna Duck.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in James' honor may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Oconee Food Pantry and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
