He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Pauline; his wife Lois Ann Sexauer; and his brother Richard Sexauer. He is survived by: his sons, David (Sharon), Alan (Michelle) and Steven (Patti); his grandchildren, Amy, Jessica (Alex), Ryan, Emily, Laura Paulsell (Dan), Andrew (Crystal), Lauren and John; his great grandchildren, Gyn, Kennedy and Andrew Jr.; his sister Adrienne Fairbanks (Cliff); and his sister-in-law Brenda.

In keeping with his generous spirit, John chose to donate his body for medical research.
