He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bryan Adkins and Iva Adkins (McCain); his wife Genevieve Phegley; his children, Gary Phegley of Taylorville, IL, Terry Adkins (Judy Voss) of Ohlman, IL, Dan Adkins (Anna) of Nokomis, IL and Patty Vedder (John) of Nokomis, IL; his grandchildren, John Vedder, Pixie Vieweg (Jamie), Bobby Vedder (Melissa), Leslie Farris (Larry), Brent Adkins, Amanda Thompson (Mike) and William Adkins; his great grandchildren, Nicole, Chase Vieweg, Kadyn, Gage, Nora Vedder, Bailey and Cody Ferris; his great great grandchild Aria DeWitt; and his siblings, George Adkins, John Adkins, James Adkins, Kenneth Adkins, Ruby Moore and Betty Smith. He was also cherished by Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
