He was predeceased by: his parents, George Luther and Lucy Ivy Rumsey (Taylor). He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Rumsey (Beaver); his wife Nancy Rumsey of Olney; his sons, Michael Rumsey (Teri) and Paul Rumsey (Brenda); and his stepchildren, Michelle Weiler (Russ), Melissa Gamboe (Tom) and Michael "Tug" Murbarger. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren six step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois or Tiger Pride Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
