He was predeceased by : his wife Judy Vickers; his siblings, Joann Raney, Merrill "Gene", Carl, Lloyd and Richard Whipple; and his son Scott Whipple.

He is survived by : his children, Lori (Gregory Wohletz) and Russell (Deena Whipple); his grandchildren, Brian Whipple of Evansville, Albert Wohletz of San Francisco, Erin Wohletz of Knoxville, Kaleb Whipple of Las Vegas and Jake Whipple of Las Vegas; and his great grandchild Clementine Whipple.
