It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley M. Brannon of Oquawka, Illinois, who passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd L. Brannon and Christine D. Brannon (Reed); and her siblings, Fred James Brannon and Wanda Faye Spinks. She is survived by: her daughters, DeAnne Brown (Tom III) of Valrico and Brandi Thompson (Ecron) of Austin, Texas; her significant other Charles Thompson of Oquawka; her siblings, Jimmie Lee Brannon of Chandler, Oklahoma, Regina M. Brannon of Galesburg and Marsha A. Brannon-Pitman of Jacksonville, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Monique, Tiffany, Tom Brown IV, Josiah and Nia Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facemasks will be required with limited occupancy.
