He was predeceased by : his wife Elfrieda Vlaming; his parents, Raymond Vlaming and Alice Vlaming; and his siblings, Raymond Vlaming and Julianne Cannon.

He is survived by : his children, Julie Vlaming (Michael DeFranco), James Vlaming (Christine) and Elizabeth Giannakas (Peter); his grandchildren, Maximilian, Henry, Molly and Gabriel; and his cousin Mercedes Schwartz (Richard).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home - Orland Park (9000 W 151st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 8:45 AM at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home (9000 W 151st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A Mass was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Michael Church (14327 Highland Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462).
