She was predeceased by: her husbands, Henry "Hank" Heersema and Harold Cooper; her son John Cooper; her grandchildren, Vicki Hanson (Scott) and Bryan Agema; and her siblings, Helena Creany, Clara DeBoer, Alice Kerkstra, Ida Bruinius, Albert Beukema and Nell Bruinius.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Hoffmann (Steve), Ida Walsh (Mike) and Nelayne Griffiths (late Parry); her stepdaughters, Sandra Agema (Jim) and Karen Heersema; and her grandchildren, Carrie McNamara, Katie Guitierrez (Emilio), Lindsey Bellik (Vince), Jeanne Beamer (Jim), Heather Simpson (Scott), Ruth Ann Cooper, Harold Cooper (Teri), Jonathan Cooper, Nathan Griffiths (late Tia), Troy Agema (Jen) and Brett Agema.
