He was predeceased by: his spouse Rika Langeland; his child Shirley Dekker; and his siblings, Angeline Westra (Simon), Albert (Marguerite), Marie, Elizabeth Aggen (Elmer), Hilda Ouwenga (Donald), Andrew and George.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Sobczak (Ken), David (Carol) and Wayne (Pat); his grandchildren, Timothy Sobczak (Jody), Michael Sobczak, Matthew Langeland, Sarah Cobus (Brian), Geneva Langeland and Monica Vandenlangenberg (Nicholas); and his great grandchildren, Caden, Lincoln and Sage Sobczak.
