With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynn Joy Detzler of Oswego, Illinois, who passed away on May 9, 2025 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lynn Joy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lynn Joy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronnie Simon and Lois Simon (Evans-Law); her stepfather Richard Law; and her sister Lori Shryock. She is survived by: her husband Donald Detzler; her daughter Gracie; her grandchildren, Gunnar and Gwendolyn Heinz; and her brother Scott Simon (Evelyn).
