He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Fred Stephens and Wanda Stephens (Helm); his wife Martha J. Stephens (Finnegan); his children, Amanda Nelson and Matthew Stephens; his grandson Michael Nelson; and his siblings, Bonnie Hooten (John) and Michael Stephens (Lola).
