We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2024, at the age of 80, John Salajka Jr. (Palatine, Illinois), born in Manhattan, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Salajka Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary Salajka and John Salajka. He is survived by : his children, John (Peggy), Wendy McCormick, Jill Salajka, Koren Salajka (Haze Bergeron), Jane Schager (James) and Kate Cowan (Mike); his grandchildren, John, Sarah, Anna, Maggie Salajka, Michael, Collin, Evan McCormick, Noah, Elise, Madison, Jacob, Carter Schager, Aiden and Kelsey Hughes; his former life partner Jane Salajka; his siblings, Robert "Bobby" (Carol) and Joan Miller; and his aunt Millie BalisArtura. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home (201 N Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Theresa Catholic Church (455 N Benton St, Palatine, IL 60067).
