He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Marie; his son Edward Layton; and his sibling Val Layton (late Joyce). He is survived by: his children, Toni Jean Kiwior and Kenneth J. Layton (Mary); and his stepchildren, Jacqueline McClay (James), Jeane Kim (late John) and David LaSota (Jennifer). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
