He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob and Dena; his great grandchild Grace Nunnikhoven; his siblings, Jennie Hal, Helene Van Hal, Raymond Van Hal and Jerry Van Hal; his brothers-in-law, Donald Bennink and James Vanden Oever; his parents-in-law, Ernest Kamp and Anna Van Der Kamp; and his siblings-in-law, Vivian Van Der Kamp and Marvin Schmelzle.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon, Gregory, Erwin and Anita; his siblings, Geurt Van Hal (Carolyn) of Palos Heights, Sophia Bennink of Des Moines, Evelyn Vanden Oever of Chariton, Cornie Van Hal (Marinella) of Pella, Darlene Summers (Glenn) and Nancy Jensen (Carl) of Golden; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Van Hal of Pella and Darlene Van Hal of Pella. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
