She was predeceased by: her parents, James Connolly and Bernice Connolly; her husband Robert R. Gouwens; her son Michael Spencer; her brothers, Rudy Pechota, James Connolly Jr. and Robert Kemock; and her siblings-in-law, William Gouwens and Marcia Gouwens.
She is survived by: her children, Patrick Gouwens (Cathy), Maggie DeVries (Jim), Maureen (Giuliano), Cipolla, Ann and Robert Gouwens (Kim); her siblings, Sharon, Mary Ellen Hertz (Paul), Jeremiah (Cheryl), Lucy and Mary Ann; her grandchildren, Morgan, Alex, Brendan, Jimmy, Meghan, Danielle, Rachele, Manny, Libby, Emma, Nolan, Bryn, Bobby, Tommy, Ian and Lauren; her great grandchildren, Liam, Greyson, Brooks, Anarosa and Ethan; and her close friend Myra (Fred Swanson). She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kerry Funeral Home (7020 W 127th St, Palos Heights, IL 60463). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Incarnation Catholic Church (5757 W 127th St, Crestwood, IL 60418).
