He was predeceased by: his brother Reinhardt H. (Shirley); and his brother-in-law Carl Hanke (Ellie). He is survived by: his wife Jane; his brother Martin D. (Patricia); his children, Loren D. Jahn, Paul A. Jahn, Peter G. Jahn (Patricia), Louise M. LaRue (William), David E. Jahn (Colleen) and Martha J. Martin (Lee); his grandchildren, Sarah Lata (Mike), Brenda Uraski, Margaret Jahn Wilkoff (Jake), Daniel Jahn, Marcy Jahn, Laura Hurckes (Jerad), Erin Jahn, Peter Jahn, Emily Jahn, Trevor Jahn, Rachel Martin and Elise LaRue; and his great grandchildren, Adilynne, Jake, Henry, Aubrey, Evan and Jensen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
