It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene P. Schmitz (Pana, Illinois), who passed away on March 7, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Joseph and Thelma M. Schmitz (Nienstead). He is survived by: his children, Gina Maria Shuff of Pana, IL, Laura Kathleen French of Sparta, IL and Denise Ann Harmon of Floresville, TX; his grandchildren, Staci Shuff, Emily Anderson, Anna Detloff, Elliott French, Juliana French, Kayleen Jones and Marissa Russell; and his siblings, Thomas Schmitz, Timothy Schmitz, James Schmitz and Mary Sharon Schmitz.
