He is survived by: his mother Edna Carter (Blackburn) of Springfield, TN; his wife Brenda Pope; his son Jason Carter (Jessica) of Pana, IL; his grandchildren, Trinity Carter, Thessa Carter and Javien Carter; and his siblings, Jeff Carter (Susan), Phillip Carter and Terry Carter (Sheli).
Memorials in Jimmy's honor may be made to the M.S. Research Foundation and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
