He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam DeSpain and Eva DeSpain (Clopton) of Buffalo, Kentucky.; his siblings, Ruby Shofner, Mary DeSpain and Sam DeSpain Jr.; his brothers-in-law, Grady Shofner, Gary Hoelzer, Shelby-Jim Atwell, Butch Becker and Jim Bickford; and his grandson Jeffery DeSpain.
He is survived by: his wife Judy M. Vincent; his sons, Travis DeSpain (Alyssa) of Montgomery and Terry DeSpain (Valerie Sams) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his grandchildren, Joe DeSpain, Amanda DeSpain and Hannah DeSpain; and his sisters, Helen Perkins (Emmett) of Buffalo, Stella "Gertrude" Atwell of Jackson, Phyllis Becker of Buffalo, Sue Hoelzer of Jackson and Barb Wilkinson (Jim) of Jackson, Tennessee..
