She was predeceased by : her parents, James Howard and Ella Mae Brickman Gunn; her husband James H. Purdon; and her brother Jerry Gunn. She is survived by : her children, James H. Purdon II of Pawnee and Janene Purdon-Menke of Springfield; her grandchildren, Mercedes Menke, Nichole Purdon, Anastasia Menke, Mark Menke, America Purdon and Jasmine Purdon; and her great grandchild Keegan Menke.
