He was predeceased by : his father Ed Maxey Sr.; and his daughter Nicole "Nikki" Maxey. He is survived by : his wife Diane Maxey of Pawnee; his son Brandon Maxey of Pawnee; his grandson Asher Maxey; his stepdaughters, Cristy Metz (Chris) of Mount Sterling, Melissa Pleshe of Pawnee and Misty Blake (Shawn) of Virden; his stepgrandchildren, Jared Fry, Jordon Burris, Haylee Pleshe and Macie Metz; his mother Gerry Maxey of Springfield; and his siblings, Edward C. Maxey II (LeeAnn) of Pawnee, Kayla Maxey of Springfield, Gerri Lynn Murdock (Randy) of Moline and Julie Smith (Tim) of Salisbury. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
