He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nicholas and Ruby Sophia Weires (Wagner); and his sister Shirley Graesser. He is survived by: his nieces, Amy Henning, Donna Pertel and Diane Palaggo; his cousin Kris Woessner; and his brother-in-law Ken Graesser.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
