He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo McDonough and Helen McDonough; and his sisters, Patricia Mack and Rita Walker. He is survived by: his wife Joan Patterson; his children, Sheryl Jones (Michael) of Pekin, Timothy McDonough (Marsha) of Tullahoma and David McDonough (Theresa) of Pekin; his granddaughters, Carrie Helmig (Jason) of Pekin and Katie McDonough (Nathan Todd) of Pekin; his great grandchildren, Max Helmig, Jaxon Helmig, Paisley Helmig and Wyatt Todd; and his sister Carol Guynn of Normal.
Memorial contributions can be made to Shade Memorial Youth Camp of Pekin and Trinity Lutheran Church of Pekin.
