He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Marci Lynn Hostetter; his mother Faith Purdue (David) of Tallahassee, Florida; his children, Shelbie Faith Marie Bengert, Austyn Joseph James Bengert and Logan Scott Taylor; and his mother-in-law Debbie Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to City Church, located at 335 Sabella St. in Pekin, to continue the growth of the church he called home and enjoyed volunteering at the last several years.
