He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Rohde and Elizabeth Rohde (Winkelmann); and his brother-in-law William Hertter. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Hawkins (James) of Pekin and Michael Rohde (Angela) of Marquette Heights; and his sisters, Carol Hertter of Charlotte and Margo Boline (Leon) of Normal. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
