She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Clarence and Margaret Krueger (Graff); her spouse Carroll "Dude" DeFrates; and her sisters, Eleanor Claycomb and Ruth Nugen.
She is survived by: her children, John DeFrates (Julie) of Rocky Mount, MO, Kirk DeFrates (Joan) of Rockwall, TX and Kristie Erickson (Jeff) of Pekin; and her grandchildren, Carlee Smith, Theresa Holly, Dustin DeFrates, Sarah Erickson, Casey DeFrates, Joshua DeFrates, Matthew DeFrates, Adam Erickson, Brittney DeFrates, Jason DeFrates, Charlie Brunell and Calla Walshe. She is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
