It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mabel I. Seed of Pekin, Illinois, who passed away on October 28, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mabel I. Seed to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham Monroe and Bonnie Mabel Schemerhorn (Waggoner); her granddaughter Molly Brandenburg; and her great grandchild Jami Elizabeth Tankersley. She is survived by: her husband Rev. John R. "Dick" Seed, Sr.; her children, Cyndy Blanchard (Nick) of Creve Coeur, Rochelle Bouse (Jon) of Loda, Lynn DeMarco of Springfield, LaDonna Maria Seed (Steve Tallon) of Portsmouth, Virginia, John Richard Seed, Jr. of Peoria, Robert "Bob" Seed (Kathy) of Loda, Thomas Seed (Pam) of Kennesaw, Daniel Seed (Kimmie Squires) of Pekin and Michael Seed (Jacqueline) of Peoria; and her siblings, Lovell Legg (Bill) of Springfield, Tonya Lynn Pauley (Don) of Chauncey, Stephen "Joe" Schemerhorn (Paula) of Valparaiso, David Rex Schemerhorn (Anne) of Bloomington and John Schemerhorn (Karen) of Collinsville. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; fifty-four great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.
