She was predeceased by: her brothers, Billy Groves and Marshall Groves; and her mother Nannie. She is survived by: her spouse Lalas Harper, Jr.; and her children, James "Bennie" Harper (Beverly JoAnn) of Pekin, Dennis Harper (Linda) of Pekin and Joan Marie Newsom (Jim) of St. Peters, Missouri. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchild; one brother.
