He was predeceased by : his parents, Wallace R. Sturm and Betty Turrell (Stevens). He is survived by : his wife Suzie Powers Sturm; his daughters, Samantha Kinsey (Joe) of Charlotte, NC and Rachel Clary (David) of Bloomfield, MO; his granddaughters, Emma Clary, Quinn Kinsey, Claire Kinsey, Willa Clary and Layne Kinsey; and his siblings, Ivy Sturm of Dallas, PA, Frank Sturm of Chillicothe, IL and Elsie Norton (David) of Vero Beach, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Eric's name to Transitions Hospice.
