It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Llewellyn Chapman Jr. (Peoria, Illinois), born in Pekin, Illinois, who passed away on August 15, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. Chapman, Sr. and Clementine Chapman (Coose); his parents-in-law, George and Meridith Zweifel; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Powers, Thomas Stanisic and William Dikeman.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Lynne Zweifel Chapman; his sons, Henry L. "Tripp" Chapman III (Dina) of Elgin, IL and John Carter Chapman (Laura) of Peoria; his grandchildren, Alia, Avery Chapman (Elgin), John, Colette and Elle Chapman (Peoria); and his sisters-in-law, Carol Dikeman of Naperville and Joan Stanisic of Peoria. He is also survived by four nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Chappie's memory may be made to the Peoria Riverfront Museum, the Peoria Zoological Society, First Federated Church in Peoria or a charity of the donor's choice.
