She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Stein and Mary Stein (Derix); her husband Joseph J. Kurtz; her son Jim; and her sisters, Gert Marple, Jackie Ratkiewicz and Melva Rossman.
She is survived by: her son Joseph Kurtz (Margaret) of Peoria; and her daughter-in-law Patricia Kurtz of La Salle. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her extended family.
