It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Mertel (Peru, Illinois), who passed away on September 5, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond F. Mertel and Dawn J. Mertel (Tobler). He is survived by: his wife Pamela Mertel of Peru; his children, Jamey Mertel (Diane) of Peru and Heidi Harris (Josh) of Orange Park, FL; his grandchildren, Haley Jo Mertel, Jacey Mae Mertel, Hayden Joshua Harris, Karston James Harris, Adley Joseph Harris and Evangeline Jorja Harris; and his siblings, Herbert Mertel, Raymond Mertel and Cindy Cappiobianco.
