He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Jim" and Justine "Chris" Koehler (Banko); and his brothers, Jim, Merle "Mack" and Richard "Speck" Koehler.
He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Koehler of Peru; his children, Belinda Pittman (David) of Peru, Mechelle "Shelly" Fleischer (Russell) of Reston, VA, Christine Kowalczyk (Jerry) of Chicago, Carolyn Assalley (William) of Taylorville, Kent Koehler, Jr. (Josie) of Peru, Peggy Brown (Ken) of Marion, IA and Katherine Jordan (Matthew) of Nokesville, VA; his grandchildren, Dianah Tremblay (Daniel), Elizabeth Whitecotton (Ryan), Kathryn Kamp (Chris), Michael Assalley (Lauren), Nicholas Kowalczyk (Lorielle), Justina Morse (Alex), Lauren Layton (Wesley), Alexandra Koehler, Mariko Kurobe, Sydney Assalley, Daniel Fleischer, Calvin Brown, McIntyre Jordan, Samuel Jordan, Brogan Jordan, Ewan Jordan and Declan Jordan; his great grandchildren, Alexander, Ila, Vincent, Rhiannon and Theodore; and his daughter Claudia Pleskatchow De Antonorsi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
