Betty C. Hartley Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty C. Hartley of Petersburg, Illinois, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl and Clara; her husband Arthur E. Hartley; her daughter Janet Ethell; and her son-in-law Tom Gheen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diana Underwood (Rick), Patti Kernebeck (Skip), Connie Gheen and Jeanie Pettit (Ron); her son-in-law Garry Ethell; her grandchildren, Kurt, Ryan, Nathan, Natasha, Jennifer, Kyle, Kalab and Erin; and her great grandchildren, Kylee, Klarc, Pete, Jack, Isaac, Archer, Luke, Sam, Connor, Hannah and Bentley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home - Petersburg (122 W Douglas St, Petersburg, IL 62675). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at the Elmwood Cemetery.
