She was predeceased by : her parents, Lee Mullinax and Helen Mullinax (Cope); and her siblings, Dale Mullinax, Marjorie Hanes and Katherine Morrison.
She is survived by : her husband Edward R. Smith of Plano, IL; her children, Edward G. Smith (Beverly) of Sandwich, IL, Sue Meringolo (Vince) and James Smith (Christine) of Somonauk, IL; her grandchildren, Jaclyn Jensen (Kevin), Laura Block (Andrew), Michelle Smith (Tyler Jones), Samantha Meringolo (Nicholas Sommo), Anthony Meringolo (Nicole Lobell), Cynthia Urbanski (Nicholas), James M. Smith and Jeffrey R. Smith; her great grandchildren, Liam, Aubrey, Emily, Dominick, Camilla and Gemma; and her niece Carol Evans (Robert). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the scholarship fund at Plano High School or the Plano Education Foundation.
