He is survived by : his mother Willa Gray Tew; his children, Tara Wesley (Scott) of O'Fallon, MO, Robert Earl Thornton Jr. of Pontoon Beach and Mike Thornton (Sandra) of Florissant, MO; and his brother John Thornton of Jackson, MO.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
