It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dennis August Searl of Port Byron, Illinois, who passed away on August 11, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Searl and Mary Searl (Van Acker); his wife Elaine O'Hara; and his son Gary. He is survived by: his daughters, Penny (Jamie VanDeWostine) and Erie; his daughter-in-law Katie Searl (Bettendorf); his sisters, Norene Searl and Rosemary Swanson (Al); and his grandchildren, Morgan, Cameron, Jennifer, Brett and Bryce.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. - Port Byron (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zuma Cemetery (25263 66th Ave N, Port Byron, IL 61275).
