He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest M. Buck and Kathryn L. Buck (Ziegenbein); his son Frank Buck; his wife Delores Farrell; and his siblings, Beverly Olalde and Barry Buck.

He is survived by: his son Dr. David Buck (Shujiao) of Skokie, IL; his grandchildren, Marina Buck of Atlanta, GA and Brandon Buck of San Diego, CA; and his sisters-in-law, Toni Buck of Prophetstown, Donna Calderon (Chuck) of Prophetstown and Ruth Ross of Grand Detour, IL..

A memorial has been established by the family.
