He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harvey F. Smith and Iola Smith (Halligan); his wife Opal Jensen-Kuelper; his children, Cynthia VanderLeest (Jerry) of Morrison, Christine Smith-Proud of Morrison and Dale Smith (Mary) of Sterling, IL; his stepchildren, Kim Ingram of Prophetstown, Debra Kuelper of Wisconsin, Steve Kuelper of Prophetstown and David Kuelper (Mel) of Buda, IL; his siblings' children, Marilee Mueller and Rocky Adler; and his siblings, Mary Anne Snyder (James) of Moline, IL., Marjorie Lee Brown and Darrell F. Smith. He was also cherished by six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
