He was predeceased by: his parents, Franz Reitmeier and Rosa Reitmeier (Ziegler); his wife Shirley Kaeser; and his sister Cilli Hofmann (Kurt). He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Boyle (Tim) and Roxanne Reitmeier; his grandsons, Brandon and Blake; and his sister Rosemarie Kafka (Walter). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Franz Reitmeier to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
