It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sallie S. Courtney of Robinson, Illinois, who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sallie S. Courtney to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Reif Snyder and Hannah Laurene Donaldson; her spouse Jerry E. Courtney; her brother Reif Donaldson, Jr.; her parents-in-law, James and Mary Pauline Courtney; her siblings-in-law, Joyce Hindsley, Onda Retter, Martha Pauline Lamb, Rebecca Kidd and David Courtney; and also Jackie Lee Courtney.
She is survived by : her children, Hope (Jones), Levi (Brad), Paul Jones (Kendra), Marcy Burkum (Jason) and Jerry; her grandchildren, Jessica (Sanders), Stephen Jones, Benjamin Jones, Eli Jones, Anna Jones, Everly Burkum, Jackson Courtney and Addison Courtney; and also, Owyn Steele, Kallie Newbauer and Charlie Suzette Steele. She is also survived by 5 siblings, 5 brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Sallie's family requests donations be made to the American Stroke Association or the Linda E. White Hospice House at Deaconess Foundation, 600 Mary Street, Evansville, IN 47710.
